Our Relationship

My initial focus is on getting to know each other and building up the therapeutic relationship. You know you best, and my job is to work alongside you using my clinical knowledge to help you on whatever challenges you are facing. I understand the vulnerability in the room, the safety and trust that is needed and I encourage all of my clients to find the therapist that they feel fits them best.

What I offer:

Clinical Assessments

A clinical assessment in psychology is a structured, comprehensive process where a psychologist gathers and analyses information from various sources, including interviews, psychological tests, and observations, to understand an individual's psychological state. The primary goals are to diagnose mental health conditions.

A clinical assessment typically includes several components:

  • Clinical Interviews: A structured conversation with the client to gather detailed information about their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and personal history.
  • Standardised Psychological Tests: Tests designed to measure various aspects of psychological functioning, such as personality, intelligence, and the presence of specific symptoms.
  • Behavioral Observations: Direct observations of the client's behavior in different settings to gain insight into their functioning.
  • Background Information: Reviewing relevant medical, personal, and family history that may influence the client's current condition.

THERAPY

Clinical psychology is a vital branch of psychology dedicated to assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental illnesses and psychological distress. It encompasses a broad spectrum of psychological conditions and employs various therapeutic approaches to help individuals manage their symptoms and improve their overall well-being.
